Abigale Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Mills (born September 21 1965) was an American dance instructor, choreographer,
and reality TV host. Abby Lee Dance Company was created by her. It was a part
of eight seasons of Dance Moms. Miller was found guilty in June 2016 to the
charge of felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced on June 27, 2016 to one
year, one day in federal prison. Miller was released on in March 27th in 2018.
In April of 2018, she was diagnosed with lymphoma which is a form of cancer
that renders it impossible to walk. She is now using a wheelchair to move
around. Miller was raised in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. She was a dancer and was
a student under her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller was 14
when she was given the choreography and instruction of one of her mother’s
dance competition teams. Miller eventually took over the dance studio and
renamed it Reign Dance Productions. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of
America and was admitted as a member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter
#10 in 1986, but her membership was cut off in February 2012 after which the
DMA declaring that Miller's reality show Dance Moms was "a total mistake
in the representation of our dance educators and their students and is damaging
to the dance industry."
